Chaser is priced by your company's annual revenue, so the alternatives that differ most from it are the ones priced another way. Xero, QuickBooks Online and Revolut Business have reminders built into software you may already use, Paidnice and Payt charge by the number of invoices, and some tools charge per paid invoice and take the payment as well. If you're comparing, start with how many invoices you chase a month and whether your customers are businesses or individuals.

The short version
- Chaser prices its three plans by your company's annual revenue.
- Paidnice and Payt publish euro prices based on invoice volume.
- Xero and QuickBooks Online have automatic reminders built in.
- Adfin's Essential credit control is free; Enhanced costs 0.3% per paid invoice.
- Statutory late payment interest applies to business customers, not consumers.
How the alternatives are priced
If price is what's prompting you to look, the pricing model tells you more than the headline figure. Chaser has three plans set by your company's annual revenue. Other tools charge by the number of invoices, by a percentage of what you collect, or include reminders in software you may already pay for.
| Option | What sets the price | Published price | Taking the payment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chaser | Company annual revenue | Priced in sterling, from £199 a month | Chaser Pay (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, instant bank transfer), or card and SEPA direct debit through your own Stripe account |
| Xero or QuickBooks Online | Your accounting software plan | Reminders built in | Through the payment services you connect |
| Revolut Business | Plan fee | Plans from €10, €35 or €125 a month | Card and wallets with an active Merchant account, otherwise bank transfer only |
| Paidnice | Invoices per month | €59 a month for up to 150 invoices; Pro from €85 | Works with Xero, QuickBooks Online and Stripe |
| Payt | Invoices per month | €39.95, €69.95 or €159.95 a month for up to 30, 75 or 250 invoices | Not covered here |
| Stripe Invoicing | Percentage of each paid invoice | 0.4% (Starter) or 0.5% (Plus), plus Stripe's payment fees | Cards, SEPA direct debit and other online methods |
| Adfin | Per paid invoice and per payment | Essential credit control free; Enhanced 0.3% per paid invoice; payments 20c + 1% (standard price), with the 1% part capped at €2 on direct debit and bank transfer | SEPA direct debit, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer |
Which pricing suits your invoices
Revenue-based pricing follows your turnover, whatever your customers' payment habits. If you send a small number of large invoices, say 25 a month to long-standing business clients, you're paying for your size more than for the amount of chasing. If turnover rises because existing clients buy more, the plan can move up while your overdue list stays the same length.
Invoice-volume pricing tracks how many invoices you send. A business sending 60 invoices a month sits within Paidnice's Essentials limit of 150, at €59, and in Payt's €69.95 tier, which covers up to 75. Grow to 200 invoices and Paidnice moves you to Pro while Payt moves you to €159.95. These prices are the same whether the invoices are paid on time or not.
Per-paid-invoice pricing tracks what you collect. Stripe Invoicing takes 0.4% or 0.5% of every paid invoice on top of its payment fees. Adfin's Essential level costs nothing under fair use, and covers unlimited reminders by email, SMS and WhatsApp, statements and an aged debtors view where each overdue account can have an owner and a next step. Its Enhanced level costs 0.3% per paid invoice, only on invoices where you use it. Payments through Adfin cost a standard 20c + 1% each, and on SEPA direct debit and bank transfer the 1% part is capped at €2, so any of those payments up to €2,000 costs no more than €2.20. Card payments have no cap.
If you send only a handful of invoices and most are paid after one nudge, the reminders in Xero or QuickBooks Online may be enough on their own. Xero lets you set automatic reminders before or after the due date, and QuickBooks Online in Ireland sends up to three for each unpaid invoice you've emailed from it.
Other differences to weigh up
Statutory late payment interest only applies to invoices to other businesses and public bodies. Under S.I. 580 of 2012 the rate is 10.4% a year from 1 July 2026, reset each 1 January and 1 July, and consumers are outside the rules. If your customers are mostly individuals, a tool's interest features are unlikely to help you much. If they're businesses, Paidnice applies late fees and interest automatically, and Adfin's Enhanced level adds statutory interest to overdue business invoices with grace periods and waivers for individual customers.
It also helps to look at how customers pay from a reminder. Chaser can take payments through Chaser Pay or through your own connected Stripe account, one service at a time. Some alternatives leave payment to your accounting software's connected services, and others take the payment themselves, which means reminders and payments sit in the same system.
Payt's site doesn't list Ireland among its countries. If its pricing suits you, confirm with Payt that it serves Irish businesses before you plan a move.
What moving away from Chaser involves
Leaving a credit control tool is usually lighter than leaving a payment provider, because nothing your customers signed has to move. The work is mostly on your side.
Before you switch, export your list of overdue accounts with any notes on disputes, promised payment dates and contacts at each customer, since those records are what let the next tool, or the next person, pick up where you left off. Write down the reminder schedule and wording you use now, so you can rebuild it and change what hasn't worked. If customers have been paying through a payment portal linked to Chaser, make sure your invoices and reminders carry a working payment link from the day you switch.
Run both tools for as short a time as you can. Two sets of reminders going to the same customer for the same invoice tend to cause more queries than either one alone.
Common questions
How is Chaser priced? Chaser has three plans, and the one you're on is set by your company's annual revenue rather than the number of invoices you send.
Is there a Chaser alternative priced in euro? Paidnice publishes euro prices, from €59 a month for up to 150 invoices, and Payt's tiers run from €39.95 to €159.95 a month. Adfin's Essential credit control is free under fair use.
Can Chaser collect SEPA direct debit? Yes, customers can pay by card or SEPA direct debit through your own Stripe account once it's connected to Chaser. Its own Chaser Pay option takes card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and instant bank transfer.
Do Xero and QuickBooks chase invoices without an extra tool? Both send automatic reminders without an extra tool. Xero sends them before or after the due date at a frequency you choose, and QuickBooks Online in Ireland sends up to three per invoice.
Which credit control tools add late payment interest automatically? Paidnice applies late fees and interest automatically. Adfin adds statutory interest to overdue business invoices on its Enhanced level, which costs 0.3% per paid invoice.
Does late payment interest apply to every customer? Statutory interest under S.I. 580 of 2012 applies to invoices between businesses and to public bodies. It doesn't apply to consumers buying outside their trade, business or profession.
