Adfin | Meet Robert Tabacaru our new Software Engineer

At Adfin, we’re lucky to have a growing team of talented people who bring their skills, passion, and experience to help us build the best product possible. This week, we’re excited to introduce Robert Tabacaru, one of our Software Engineers, in our latest Spotlight Week feature.

1. What inspired you to pursue a career in software engineering?

I’ve always been drawn to analytical thinking, with a passion for exact sciences like math. Software engineering became the perfect outlet for my love of problem-solving, allowing me to break down complex issues and find precise solutions. Also, I love seeing the real-world impact of my work! I strive to create software that helps people as much as possible.

2. Why did you decide to join Adfin?

I love challenging myself, and I saw joining Adfin as an opportunity to work on a complex product alongside a group of very talented and ambitious people. Having been here for about 2 months, I can confidently say I am very happy that I joined!

3. What’s the most interesting or challenging project you’ve worked on so far?

Before Adfin, I worked on a start-up investment platform. There I designed a system that allowed shareholders to put their equity up for sale on the secondary market. I am very proud of the work I did as the system has now helped facilitate transactions with a value of over 1 million euros.

‍

4. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Since my job mostly keeps me at my desk, I try to be as active as possible in my free time by playing football, rock climbing and going to the gym. Other than that I try to spend as much time with my family and close friends.

‍

5. What’s your favourite book, movie, or TV show?

I find it really hard to pick favorites, but the Star Wars universe has always been special to me. I love the original movies and really enjoyed watching the Clone Wars TV show as a kid.
