Moving direct debits from another provider can feel scary, but here at Adfin we’ve been working to make it easy and simple for you and your clients.

When you move your direct debits, you have two options.

1. Use our mandate migration service

With this option, there’s no need for your clients to sign new mandates. The process can take a few weeks, but it ensures a seamless shift to Adfin with no friction for your clients.

We’ll guide you through every step of the process:

Let us know you'd like to migrate your mandates and who you existing provider is
We’ll work with your existing provider on the steps needed to migrate your mandates
We’ll notify your customers before the change date that their payment processor is changing – this is an FYI only and they do not need to take any action
On the change date, your mandates will appear in Adfin
If you’re raising invoices in Xero or QuickBooks, we'll automatically start pulling in invoices and collecting payments

2. Send new mandates to your clients

This is incredibly simple. Just import your clients or create them in Adfin, then send mandates to all.

When your customer signs a direct debit mandate with Adfin, we’ll automatically update your invoices in Xero or QuickBooks to use Adfin for payment.

Make sure invoice migration is enabled in your settings
Send direct debit mandates to your clients
Once the mandate is active, if you’re raising invoices in Xero or QuickBooks, we'll automatically start pulling in invoices and collecting payments

📬 After the switch

You’ll get an email notification when a customer has been migrated
We’ll tag the customer in your dashboard so you can easily keep track

This typically has the least effort involved, since all you have to do is send your mandates and we do all the hard work once they’ve signed.
