Top 6 Chaser alternatives in the UK (2026)

Adfin team

The six most credible Chaser alternatives for a UK business in 2026 are Adfin, Credit Hound, Kolleno, Paidnice, Satago, plus Trove. Your choice starts with one question: do you want something that chases your invoices, or something that also takes the money? Chaser sells chasing, and the money side of it carries no published UK rate.

In this article

The short version

  • Chaser publishes its full rate card in US dollars, on a page whose country selector lists the United Kingdom. Two fetches both served dollars, so no GBP figure for any Chaser plan is published and we have not converted one.
  • Chasing is the product. Chaser Pay exists and lists cards, wallets, instant bank transfers and open banking, but its page publishes no transaction fee and never mentions Bacs direct debit.
  • Chaser is the only product in this set publishing automated phone calls, it sells staffed collections, and it integrates with four Sage products plus most of the mid-market ERP estate.
  • Its own two review platforms disagree: 4.98 from 374 on the Xero App Store against 4.3 from 70 on G2.
  • Its terms give three different notice periods, and it is one of only three products in this market publishing a data-export-on-exit clause, at 90 days.

Why people look past Chaser

Chaser's pricing page is one of the most complete in this category, and it prices in dollars: Compact "From $259per month", Core "From $779per month", Complete "From $1169per month", Custom "From $1199per month", with staffed Care plans from "$2149per month" on Core. Its country selector lists "New Zealand, Australia, Europe, United Kingdom, United States, Rest of World", and both our fetches returned dollars, so you can't know your own monthly cost without an exchange-rate assumption.

Which plan you qualify for runs off your annual revenue instead of your invoice volume: Compact under $5m, Core under $13m, Complete under $120m, Custom over $100m. Two of those bands overlap between $100m and $120m, and Chaser's own table gives the Custom threshold a pound sign and the letters USD in one cell.

Then your collection question, which is usually what sends a UK reader looking. Chaser Pay is "A fast, simple, and secure payment system" listing instant bank transfers, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, open banking and a Stripe integration. Its fees are given as "competitive transaction fees" with no rate on any page we could fetch, and Bacs direct debit appears nowhere on it. If you collect your fees by mandate, that gap is likely to cost you more than the subscription does.

At a glance: what each one publishes

All figures come from each vendor's own pages. Trove's tier ladder appears only on its app-store listings.

1. Adfin

A UK platform that collects your invoices by direct debit, card, wallet, open banking or bank transfer, and chases whatever goes unpaid.

  • Pricing: 1.0% + 20p per successful transaction, with an industry tier at 1.5% + 20p and no qualifying condition stated on the page. Direct debits and bank payments capped at £4, premium or EEA cards plus 1%, non-EEA cards plus 2%. No monthly fee, no minimum and no minimum contract (adfin.com/pricing).
  • Chasing runs over email, WhatsApp or SMS from your own domain, with instalment plans and automatic late fees.
  • Reviews: Trustpilot 4.5 from 12 (user-reported). On a base that small, a couple more reviews could move the score a long way.
  • Limitation: no euro or dollar collection, no automated phone calls, no staffed collections, and no Sage integration named on our pages.

2. Credit Hound

From Draycir, sold through the Sage marketplace and built Sage-first. Sage doesn't own it: the publisher field on both marketplace listings reads Draycir.

  • Pricing: the cheapest published entry in this category, and it depends on your ledger. First user a month is £20 on Sage 50 and Sage Accounting, £51 on Xero or Sage 200, £82 on Sage Intacct, with additional users and companies charged again.
  • Collection is a separate module: PayThem adds an instant payment link for cards or open banking at £38 a month.
  • Credit Hound Professional, the on-premise product, is priced separately at "Full User: £135.00 per Month" on Sage's own marketplace. Same brand, seven times the price.
  • Reviews: Sage marketplace 5.0 from 11 (user-reported), nine of them three or more years old, with nothing at all between January 2023 and December 2025.
  • Limitation: no QuickBooks support on either product, no credit checking, no SMS, and its terms say "All purchases of Services are final, except as required by law".

3. Kolleno

An accounts receivable platform covering receivables, payables, reconciliation plus payments, a wider brief than anything else here.

  • Pricing: BusinessPay "£ 650 per user/month" for businesses over £1m turnover, Business Plus "£ 1245 per user/month" over £10m with a two-user minimum, then custom rates over £100m. Our arithmetic on their figures: Business Plus starts at £2,490 a month monthly, or £1,990 annually.
  • It publishes its turnover gate, so if you turn over under £1m the page tells you you're not the customer.
  • The AI agent the homepage is built around is gated to Business Plus, and Kolleno is the only vendor here naming its model provider: "Microsoft Azure OpenAI" and "OpenAI's GPT models", with "Full audit trail on everything AI touches".
  • Reviews: G2 4.9 from 114, Capterra UK 5.0 from 8 (user-reported).
  • Limitation: its terms set an "initial term of 24 (twenty four) months", fees that are "non-cancellable and non-refundable", and on termination you "delete all copies of the Service Data". Our arithmetic on that floor puts your two-year commitment in the order of £48,000.

4. Paidnice

A rules-and-triggers chasing engine for Xero and QuickBooks, and the only vendor here publishing a sterling price beside its dollar one instead of choosing.

  • Pricing: Essentials £49 a month, then Pro by your monthly invoice volume at £74 for 300, £129 for 600, £199 for 1,000, £349 for 2,000, £479 for 3,000 and £599 for 4,000. Custom starts at "From $999 USD per month" with no GBP equivalent.
  • Essentials limits you to "150 invoices per month", "600 emails per month" and "Up to 2 team members". Extra entities are £19 each a month, SMS £0.05 a message.
  • Escalation reaches "a phone call, a credit stop or a legal letter, assigned to a person", so Paidnice hands the call to your team where Chaser dials automatically.
  • Reviews: Xero App Store 5.0 from 82, Trustpilot 4.7 from 25, G2 4.8 from 13 (user-reported).
  • Limitation: no collection of its own, no credit checking, and Sage only on the Custom tier. Its terms are the cleanest here, with cancellation any time and "thirty (30) days to retrieve any personal or business data", though your billing runs in USD through Stripe.

5. Satago

Chasing, credit risk and invoice finance in one platform, owned by AIM-listed TruFin and distributed through a Sage partnership.

  • Pricing: Basic "£45 per month or £450 billed annually", Premium £80, Platinum £200. Every tier gives you credit scores, credit limit suggestions and a late payment calculator.
  • Read the Basic allowance before you compare headlines: it caps you at "100 email reminders per month". Our arithmetic on their figure: chase each invoice three times and you run out at roughly 33 invoices a month.
  • It can lend you money, and nothing else on this page can. Satago publishes "Up to 90% advance rates" on selective and full invoice finance.
  • Reviews: Capterra UK 4.5 from 4 and a single G2 review dated 4 April 2020 (user-reported). Trustpilot and its Xero listing weren't retrievable, so five reviews is the whole base.
  • Limitation: no phone chasing, no letters, no collections service, and no cash flow forecasting, since the site mentions it only through a partner's product. Its terms set an initial Subscription Period whose length they don't state.

6. Trove

Email chasing with a team-wide Kanban board for your debtor book, from a company incorporated on 6 February 2025 and eighteen months old when we read it.

  • Pricing: its own site publishes one figure, "From £50 a month", with no pricing page at all. Its Xero App Store listing gives Essential £50, Integrated £135 and Advanced £265; its Capterra listing puts that Advanced tier at £285 and adds an Ultimate tier. Both ladders are vendor-supplied, they disagree by £20 on the same day, and you can't get either from Trove itself.
  • Reviews: Xero App Store 5.0 from 10 (user-reported), Capterra "Based on 0 user reviews", no G2 listing found. For an eighteen-month-old company that's what you'd expect.
  • Limitation: email only. No SMS, phone or letter capability is published, no payment collection, no QuickBooks and no Sage.

What these vendors do not publish

Every gap below is checkable, and it's the section a vendor comparison usually leaves out.

  • Any GBP price for any Chaser plan. The selector offers the United Kingdom; the page served dollars twice.
  • Chaser Pay's transaction fees, or whether it supports UK Bacs direct debit. Neither appears on any page we fetched.
  • Which Chaser plans include the AI email generator or the Late Payment Predictor. Both feature pages point at the pricing page, which lists neither.
  • Chaser's free trial length on its own site. Only "risk-free trial" appears there; the ten days comes from its Xero App Store listing.
  • Chaser's partner discount, described as "Generous discounts" with no percentage or per-client rate anywhere.
  • An accountant or partner price from any of these vendors. Five out of five publish nothing, and every route is a call.
  • A VAT position from Chaser, Satago, Kolleno, Credit Hound or Trove. Paidnice addresses New Zealand GST only.
  • An effective date on any of these pricing pages. Not one carries one, and across every pricing page in our wider work PayPal's is the only dated example, 15 July 2026.
  • The maximum reminder steps for Satago, Kolleno, Credit Hound or Trove, or whether their reminders stop when a customer part-pays you.
  • Adfin's VAT treatment, chargeback fee, phone payment fee, credit control charge and own-name monthly fee. Not one is on adfin.com/pricing, so none is quoted above.

Where Chaser is the better product

No alternative on this page matches these, so if any of them describes you, stay put.

  • It rings your customer. "Automated phone calls" and "In-app calling" are published features, and Chaser is the only product in this roster with them. Paidnice assigns a call to a person, and Credit Hound gives your team a task list.
  • It can put people on your account. "Collection services" and "Debt collection services" come with the staffed Care plans, so your escalation goes past software.
  • Sage and ERP depth nobody here comes close to: Sage 200, Sage 50 UK, Sage Business Cloud Accounting and Sage Intacct, plus NetSuite, Dynamics 365 Business Central, AccountsIQ, Odoo, SAP, Epicor, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho. If your ledger is Sage 200, that decides it for you.
  • Forecasting the pure chasers don't have: cash flow, revenue, plus a receivables forecast gated to Complete.
  • The fairest thing we can quote about a competitor. On its Late Payment Predictor, Chaser publishes its own caveat: "The accuracy of these predictions is contingent upon the quality of data, the sophistication of predictive models, and the specific variables considered." Most vendors publish the claim and skip the caveat.
  • It runs its own annual receivables research. We've cited no figure from it, because the sample isn't published and we haven't read the report.

What leaving Chaser involves

Chaser gives three different answers on notice, in three documents it publishes itself.

Its Terms of Service, last updated May 2026, define the "Notice Period" as "a period of 3 months". Clause 17.5 then says a monthly subscriber may terminate on "thirty (30) days'" written notice and an annual subscriber on 90 days. Its help centre describes a cancellation form and a call, with "Your cancellation date is based on the date you complete the form and book a call with us", mentioning no notice period at all.

The better half of the same story: clause 18.1.2 gives you an express right to "export the data within the Chaser Services in whole or in part to your own IT environment and/or systems within 90 days of termination", and the help centre confirms that "Your account and data are preserved for 90 days from the end of your Chaser subscription". Across eleven products we checked, three publish a data-export-on-exit clause. Chaser is one, Kolleno's clause tells you to delete instead, and for most of the rest nothing is published either way.

Before you move, export your templates and your chase history, note which reminders are mid-sequence, and check whether your subscription is monthly or annual, because that decides which of Chaser's notice clauses applies to you.

How to choose

How we compared these

Every price and feature came from the vendor's own pages, and each one is listed in Sources so you can check it. Where a vendor publishes nothing we say so instead of estimating, and we haven't converted Chaser's dollars into pounds. Review scores are third-party, quoted with their count and their platform. Where two platforms disagree you get both, and we left out one score built on a single review.

The six are in alphabetical order. No independent UK ranking of credit control software exists, every "best" page currently ranking is vendor-published and one is owned by a vendor on this list, and this page is published by Adfin, so any ranking would be our opinion wearing a finding's clothes.

Common questions

How much does Chaser cost in pounds? No GBP figure is published. Chaser's pricing page lists the United Kingdom in its country selector and served US dollars on both fetches, from "From $259per month" on Compact to "From $1169per month" on Complete. Converting would be our invention, so treat your plan cost as unknown in sterling until Chaser quotes you.

Does Chaser collect payments as well as chase them? Chaser Pay lists instant bank transfers, cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and open banking, plus a Stripe integration. Its fees are described as "competitive transaction fees" with no rate published, and Bacs direct debit is not mentioned on that page either way.

Which Chaser alternative is cheapest? On published entry prices, Credit Hound Cloud on Sage 50 at £20 per user a month, then Satago at £45 and Paidnice at £49. Satago's £45 caps you at 100 email reminders a month, Credit Hound charges per user and per ledger, and Paidnice meters your invoice volume, so the order moves as soon as you put your own numbers in.

Can any of these ring my customers automatically? No. Chaser is the only product across this roster publishing "Automated phone calls". Paidnice assigns a call to a person on your team, Credit Hound gives your team a call task list, and no telephone capability is published by Adfin, Satago or Trove.

Do any of them offer invoice finance? Satago does, publishing "Up to 90% advance rates" on selective and full invoice finance. Chaser, Adfin, Paidnice, Kolleno, Credit Hound and Trove publish none, so if your problem is waiting rather than chasing, a funder is the right sort of answer.

Will I get my data out if I leave? Chaser publishes an express clause giving you 90 days after termination to export it, and Paidnice gives you 30 days. Kolleno's clause requires you to delete all copies of the Service Data. Satago will "delete or return" personal data at your written direction, and Credit Hound deletes your personal data if you haven't told it what you want within 90 days.
