The six most credible Satago alternatives for a UK business in 2026 are Adfin, Chaser, Credit Hound, Kolleno, Paidnice, plus Trove. Before you compare any of them, check what you actually need from Satago. If you need cash advanced against unpaid invoices, none of the six can do it, because Satago is a lender and they are not.
In this article
The short version
- Satago's £45 Basic tier caps you at "100 email reminders per month". Our arithmetic on that: chase each invoice three times and you run out at roughly 33 invoices a month.
- Satago can advance you up to 90% of an invoice's value. Nothing else on this page lends money, so if that's why you bought it, stay.
- Its parent is AIM-listed TruFin. Sage doesn't own Satago: the two have a partnership, expanded on 1 July 2026.
- Its whole retrievable independent review base is five reviews, one of them dated 4 April 2020.
- Not one of these pricing pages states an effective date.
What Satago sells you
Satago sells you three things at once: chasing, credit risk on your debtors, and invoice finance. The published tiers are Basic at "£45 per month or £450 billed annually", Premium at £80 and Platinum at £200. Annual billing gives you ten months for twelve on every tier, and that's arithmetic on their own wording.
What each tier gives you matters more than the headline. Basic includes "25 Credit Reports" and "100 email reminders per month", with no SMS at all. Premium raises that to 100 credit reports, "Unlimited email reminders", 100 SMS and sending from your own email account. Platinum adds 1,000 SMS and a dedicated account manager. The page footnotes SMS allowances as "per rolling 30 days", so a 100-SMS allowance isn't a calendar-month figure.
So the £45 tier is a credit-checking product with a chasing allowance attached. If you send three reminders per invoice you cover about 33 invoices a month, and your next step is £80.
Two of Satago's own pages disagree about whether it takes your customers' money. The pricing page sells "Integrated Card Payment Acceptance" and "Integrated Buy Now Pay Later Acceptance" on Premium and above. The credit control product page describes reminders, per-customer schedules and automatic late fees, and mentions no payment method at all. Neither page names a card processor or publishes a transaction fee.
At a glance: what each one publishes
| Product | Published UK price | Reminder allowance | Credit checking | Invoice finance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Satago (incumbent) | £45, £80 or £200 a month | 100 emails a month on Basic | Yes, bureau unnamed | Yes, up to 90% advance |
| Adfin | 1.0% + 20p per successful transaction | unlimited email, SMS and WhatsApp | No | No |
| Chaser | USD only, from $259 a month | unlimited templates above Compact | Yes, bureau unnamed | No |
| Credit Hound | £20 to £82 first user a month by ledger | not published | No | No |
| Kolleno | £650 per user a month, over £1m turnover | not published | Yes, bureau unnamed | No |
| Paidnice | £49, then £74 to £599 by invoice band | 600 emails a month on Essentials | No | No |
| Trove | "From £50 a month" | not published | Advanced tier, per Capterra only | No |
All figures come from each vendor's own pages. Trove's tier ladder and Chaser's trial length appear only on their app-store listings.
1. Adfin
A UK platform that collects your invoices by direct debit, card, wallet, open banking or bank transfer, then chases whatever goes unpaid.
- Pricing: 1.0% + 20p per successful transaction, with an industry tier at 1.5% + 20p and no qualifying condition stated on the page. Direct debits and bank payments capped at £4, premium or EEA cards plus 1% on our own pricing. No monthly fee, so your chasing volume doesn't meter.
- Chasing runs over email, WhatsApp or SMS from your own domain, with instalment plans and automatic late fees.
- Reviews: Trustpilot 4.5 from 12 (user-reported). Read the count before the score here.
- Limitation: no invoice finance, no credit checking, no euro or dollar collection, no Sage integration named.
2. Chaser
The most complete chasing product in this category, and the only one publishing automated telephone calls.
- Pricing: published in US dollars only, from "From $259per month" on Compact to "From $1169per month" on Complete, with staffed Care plans from "$2149per month". Its country selector lists the United Kingdom and both our fetches returned dollars, so no GBP figure is published and we haven't converted one.
- Your escalation goes past software: "Automated phone calls", SMS, "Collection services" and staffed credit control.
- Reviews: 4.98 from 374 on the Xero App Store against 4.3 from 70 on G2, plus Capterra UK 4.9 from 45 (user-reported). Both of the first two, or neither.
- Limitation: no invoice finance, no practice management integration named, and Chaser Pay publishes no transaction rate and never mentions Bacs direct debit.
3. Credit Hound
From Draycir, sold through the Sage marketplace and built Sage-first. Sage doesn't own it, and the publisher field on both marketplace listings reads Draycir.
- Pricing: your first user costs £20 a month on Sage 50 and Sage Accounting, £51 on Xero or Sage 200, £82 on Sage Intacct, with additional users and companies charged again. On Sage 50 that's the cheapest published entry point here.
- Collecting the money is a separate module: PayThem adds an instant payment link to your invoices for cards or open banking, at £38 a month.
- Reviews: Sage marketplace 5.0 from 11 (user-reported), nine of them three or more years old.
- Limitation: no QuickBooks on either product, no credit checking, no SMS, and its terms warn in capitals that "CANCELLING AN ACCOUNT MAY CAUSE INABILITY TO ACCESS THE ACCOUNT AND/OR THE LOSS OF ALL OR CERTAIN INFORMATION."
4. Kolleno
An accounts receivable platform covering receivables, payables, reconciliation plus payments, and the only chaser here with a published route to UK direct debit.
- Pricing: BusinessPay "£ 650 per user/month" for businesses over £1m turnover, Business Plus "£ 1245 per user/month" over £10m with a two-user minimum. Our arithmetic on those figures: Business Plus starts at £1,990 a month on annual billing.
- Your direct debits arrive through a named GoCardless integration, and Kolleno also publishes cash flow forecasting, where Satago publishes none.
- Reviews: G2 4.9 from 114, Capterra UK 5.0 from 8 (user-reported).
- Limitation: its terms set an "initial term of 24 (twenty four) months", fees that are "non-cancellable and non-refundable", and on termination you "delete all copies of the Service Data".
5. Paidnice
A rules-and-triggers chasing engine for Xero and QuickBooks, and the only vendor here publishing a sterling price beside its dollar one instead of choosing.
- Pricing: Essentials £49 a month, then Pro by your monthly invoice volume at £74 for 300 invoices up to £599 for 4,000, with extra entities at £19 each and SMS at £0.05.
- Essentials caps you at "150 invoices per month", "600 emails per month" and "Up to 2 team members", so your allowance is six times Satago Basic's at a similar price.
- Reviews: Xero App Store 5.0 from 82, Trustpilot 4.7 from 25, G2 4.8 from 13 (user-reported).
- Limitation: no collection of its own, no credit checking, no invoice finance, and Sage only on the Custom tier from "$999 USD per month".
6. Trove
Email chasing with a team-wide Kanban board for your debtor book, from a company incorporated on 6 February 2025 and eighteen months old when we read it.
- Pricing: its own site publishes one figure, "From £50 a month", and has no pricing page. Its Xero App Store listing gives Essential £50, Integrated £135 and Advanced £265; its Capterra listing puts Advanced at £285 and adds an Ultimate tier.
- Both ladders are vendor-supplied, they disagree by £20 on the same day, and you can't get either of them from Trove itself.
- Reviews: Xero App Store 5.0 from 10 (user-reported), Capterra "Based on 0 user reviews", no G2 listing found. For an eighteen-month-old company that's what you'd expect.
- Limitation: email only, no payment collection, and no QuickBooks or Sage if that's your ledger. Credit checks appear on the Advanced tier in its Capterra listing and nowhere on its own site.
What these vendors do not publish
Every gap below is checkable, and it's the part a vendor comparison usually skips.
- Which credit bureau supplies Satago's scores and suggested credit limits. The site says "leading credit bureau" and names nobody. Chaser and Kolleno are silent in the same way.
- Whether Satago is FCA regulated, and under what firm reference. No FCA statement appears on its homepage.
- Satago's free trial length, its maximum number of reminder steps, and its minimum contract term.
- What "Satago Plus" is, since it appears on the Sage 50 page and not on the pricing page, and what the "accountant-grade subscription" costs once the three free months for Sage accountants end.
- The methodology behind Satago's claim that reminders cut debtor days "by up to 72%". Nothing supporting it is published, so treat it as their claim.
- Any GBP price from Chaser, Chaser Pay's transaction fees, or which Chaser plans include its AI features.
- A VAT position from Satago, Chaser, Kolleno, Credit Hound or Trove. Paidnice addresses New Zealand GST only.
- An effective date on any of these pricing pages. Not one carries one, and across every pricing page in our wider work PayPal's is the only dated example, 15 July 2026.
- An accountant or partner price from any of these vendors. Five out of five publish nothing.
- Adfin's VAT treatment, chargeback fee, phone payment fee, credit control charge and own-name monthly fee. Not one is on adfin.com/pricing, so none is quoted above.
Where Satago is the better answer
One of these outranks everything else on this page, so read it before you shortlist anybody.
- Satago can lend you money, and no collections platform can. It publishes "Up to 90% advance rates", "Fast approval for financing, in only a few clicks" and a "99% paperless solution". If your problem is that you can't wait for the invoice, a chasing tool of any kind, ours included, probably isn't the right product for you.
- It sells that funding as one facility with the chasing, describing itself as "a 3-in-1 solution" covering credit risk, debtor management and finance. Satago also claims to be "the only UK provider offering both Selective and Full Invoice Finance in a seamlessly interchangeable solution". That's their claim about the UK market and we haven't independently checked it.
- Credit risk on every tier, giving you risk bands, suggested limits, "Risk concentration by days overdue" and real-time notifications. Adfin, Paidnice, Credit Hound and Trove publish no credit checking at all.
- Lender-grade validation from Sage. Under the partnership expanded on 1 July 2026, Sage is embedding its accounting technology into Satago's invoice finance platform so banks and lenders can serve small businesses. None of the chasing tools here has anything comparable.
- No AI claim anywhere on satago.com. In a category where everybody claims AI, Satago claims none, and that's worth crediting rather than reading as a gap.
What leaving Satago involves
Satago's exit route is short and unusually easy to read, with two caveats you'll want in advance.
Its software terms let you "terminate our Services at any time by email to hello@satago.com", and your subscription ends "at the end of the Subscription Period in which notice is received by us". No notice period and no exit fee appear anywhere in them. The length of a Subscription Period isn't in the terms either: they refer you out to satago.com, and the pricing page sells monthly and annual billing without defining the term.
The two caveats. If you ever completed an invoice finance application, Satago's help centre says "we are required to keep some information on file for 5 years due to regulatory requirements". And if you came in through a Sage 50 Finance Package, Satago can't cancel it for you, so you "please contact Sage directly to remove Satago from your package". On data, clause 5.9.5 promises only to "delete or return" personal data "at your written direction", so put your request in the cancellation email.
Compare that with the two express export clauses in this set. Chaser gives you 90 days after termination to export your data, and Paidnice gives you 30. Kolleno requires you to delete all copies of the Service Data instead.
How to choose
| Your situation | Start here | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You need cash against unpaid invoices | Stay with Satago | Up to 90% advance rates, and no alternative here lends at all |
| You chase more than 33 invoices a month | Paidnice or Adfin | 600 emails on Essentials, or no reminder metering on a per-transaction rate |
| You want chasing and collection on one bill | Adfin | Direct debit, cards and chasing on one published transaction rate |
| You need someone to telephone your debtors | Chaser | The only product in this set publishing automated phone calls |
| Your ledger is Sage 50 | Credit Hound | £20 per user a month, native to the ledger you already run |
| You want credit checking as well as chasing | Chaser or Kolleno | Both publish credit monitoring, though neither names its bureau |
| You want payables and reconciliation too | Kolleno | The widest scope here, at £650 per user a month and a 24-month term |
| You want email chasing and nothing else | Trove | From £50 a month, email only, unlimited users |
How we compared these
Every price and feature came from the vendor's own pages, and every page is listed under Sources so you can check it. Where a vendor publishes nothing we say so instead of estimating, and we haven't converted Chaser's dollars into pounds. Review scores are third-party, quoted with their count and their platform. Where two platforms disagree you get both, and we left out one score built on a single review.
The six are in alphabetical order. No independent UK ranking of credit control software exists, every "best" page currently ranking is vendor-published and one is owned by a vendor on this list, and this page is published by Adfin, so any ranking would be our opinion wearing a finding's clothes.

Common questions
How many reminders do you get on Satago's £45 plan? Basic publishes "100 email reminders per month" and no SMS. Our arithmetic on that figure: at three chases per invoice you cover roughly 33 invoices a month, then you're on Premium at £80 for unlimited emails.
Does Sage own Satago? No. Satago's parent is AIM-listed TruFin, traceable on the register through TruFin Software Limited, company 09520338, formerly Satago Solutions Limited. Sage and Satago have a partnership, expanded on 1 July 2026, under which Sage embeds its accounting technology into Satago's invoice finance platform.
Can any Satago alternative offer invoice finance? None of the six. Satago publishes "Up to 90% advance rates" on selective and full invoice finance, and Adfin, Chaser, Credit Hound, Kolleno, Paidnice and Trove publish no funding of any kind. If waiting is your problem, keep the funder.
Does Satago do cash flow forecasting? No. The only forecasting reference on its site is a partner quote about forecasting with Futrli, which is somebody else's product. Chaser publishes cash flow, revenue and receivables forecasts, and Kolleno publishes cash-flow prediction.
Which Satago alternative is cheapest? On published entry prices, Credit Hound Cloud on Sage 50 at £20 per user a month, then Paidnice at £49 and Trove at "From £50 a month". Credit Hound charges per user and per ledger and Paidnice meters your invoice volume, so the order moves once you use your own numbers.
Will I get my data out if I leave? Satago's terms promise to "delete or return" personal data at your written direction, so ask in the cancellation email. Chaser publishes a 90-day export right and Paidnice a 30-day retrieval window. If you applied for invoice finance, Satago says it keeps some information on file for five years.
